The Middlebury Innthe-middlebury-innBTVMI-935MiddleburyThe Middlebury Inn has been in continuous operation as a hotel for over 180 years. The Inn began as the Vermont Hotel, a brick "public house" opened by Nathan Wood in 1827. The inn changed hands and became the Addison House in 1852, and then saw improvements in 1865 at the hands of owner Darwin Rider, who ran a free carriage to all trains and operated a large livery for his guests.https://historichotels.ibe.netbooker.com/web/FrontController.nb4?module=PropertySearch&operation=SinglePropertySearch&instanceId=172&execute=Yes&propertyCode=18171&chainCode=YX&numberOfNights=2&specialRate=[%promo%]&lookAndFeelId=5910netbookerVTVermont14 Court House Square05753USUnited States18171208154YXSilver1827-73.166244.0144middleburyinn/images/uploads/BTVMI/search/MiddleburyInn-search-64353985.jpgsmall-groups,conferences,weddings,destination-weddings,special-occasionsfamily-reunions,children,grandparents,extended-family,regional-historic-food,hiking-trails,fitness,sports-groups,military,educational-groups,religious-groups,college-university-hotels,romantic-hotels,romantic-activitiesfederalhistoric-innsNew Englandnew-englandHistoric Celebrationsmiles-celebrationsHistoric Getawaysmiles-getawaysHistoric Honeymoonsmiles-honeymoonsHistoric Reunionsmiles-reunions
